Sidewalk Mural Completion & Updates

Our group has done over 153 volunteer hours to complete the sidewalk murals between the Bloomington Public Library and the Museum Square in Downtown.

With the completion of our Sidewalk murals campaign, I want to remind you all of our membership empowerment program. This campaign was a member’s (Katherine McCarthy) idea, and we gave her the support system to see it through to completion.

Membership engagement allows Strong Towns Blono to function. We invite you, a member, to submit your own initiative that you would like to lead. We will take a supporting role in this endeavor, providing you with publicity, volunteers, and possible funding (if needed and if resources allow).

An example initiative would be a clothing repair event, where one would sew/mend clothing from people in the community free of charge. The member who proposed this initiative would be in charge of organizing it, and we would help publicize, provide volunteers, and possibly fund the materials cost if resources allow.
